Blogs
I began to publish my Flutemaker blog in 2014 as a means of preserving some of the ideas I’d had, and the research that I was undertaking in various areas relating to the simple system flute and in particular its use in Ireland.
I find the nature of blogging suits my mindset very well. If I had tried to link the various posts on similar topics as a larger piece, I know it would never have gotten done.
As I write, in August ’24 I’ve managed to write 74 posts which in recent years have become longer and more researched.
If the stats are to be believed, I’ve reached over 100,000 people.
As yet to be initiated, I’m planning a new blog which will deal with my life in music, my thoughts about Irish traditional music and its evolution, how my personal life has affected this, and how this has affected my personal life.
